i couldn’t agree with you more, i was lucky enough to have had parents that were fans of aerosmith in the 70′s when i discovered them in the mid nineties. they were pretty good then, and i was blown away, then my mom is like “Aerosmith? I didn’t know they were still around, check this out” and she goes and gets their first 5 albums on vinyl, talk about a revelation! Acid could never open your mind like mine was opened that day!

Brian Fallon is an amazing person nothing like all the other “artists” out there, who think they are Gods. I perfectly understand all these things he says about not fitting into the world but understanding it at the same time, and what he says about “memories” you get from a band, and how he tries to be nice to everyone, this really requires effort and soul. I have so much respect for this person, I hope one day I will travel to the US and go to a show

Very nice read John. Besides catching LA Guns a number of times, I got to see Phil back in ’86 (post-Girl but pre-Guns) fronting Torme. He’s definitely an underrated talent.

Great interview! Phil Lewis is one of the most underated frontmen of recent years. Saw him with Torme pre-LA Guns, have seen Guns multiple times and he never fails to deliver. I’ve attached a link with some Phil in Torme footage below.

It’s not as if anyone actually listens to an obscure artist such as Pink Floyd, after all. But The Flaming Lips have showed us once again that they are on the cutting edge; they have graciously plucked this album from obscurity and set atop a world stage.

I also forgot about this video…I saw it again when Harrison’s estate put out a DVD of his videos. It came right back, as I also saw it as a kid. Nice post!
