Update on Bret Michaels

From his official Facebook page:

While additional studies are planned throughout the week, to hopefully detect the exact cause of the rupture, Bret will remain monitored closely by his medical team to make sure no further complications occur. He is responding well to tests and treatments. Even though yesterday was a minor setback, Doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery and plan to release
more specific information next Monday.

While Bret is recovering we obviously have some shows that are being rescheduled. We are working to reschedule dates from now until May 21st.

At this time we are planning to resume the tour May 26th in Ft. Smith Arkansas provided there are no further complications or setbacks. We will then continue with all scheduled dates throughout the summer and fall,
including the June and July tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Look for additional information in the days and weeks to come. For those of you with tickets for shows that are being rescheduled, your tickets will be honored on the new dates. Tickets remain on sale for the shows which are being rescheduled although the new dates have yet to be announced.

This is the best news yet.

The Eternal Mixtape Project

The End of Survivor Series

In a conference call with various shareholders this morning, Vince McMahon made the following announcement:

We think that Survivor Series is obsolete, as far as that title is concerned. It was something that worked many, many years ago, in terms of a creative standpoint, various teams competing. That really is not advantageous as the consumer now looks as what actually they are buying. And it’s such a broad … Survivor Series yes, many years ago, was one of the original four pay-per-views, but it’s outlasted its usage and it is one of the things in terms of rebranding, this year and going forward, that will be rebranded. No longer will we have that title, Survivor Series.”

I’m at a loss for words. Maybe the concept wasn’t working because you no longer care what babyfaces and heels are.

Last month: Over 8,000

I’ve interviewed cool people, been amazing places and reviewed some great records.

I want to thank everyone for making my blog such a success.
